The Hotel

The “Grand hotel via Veneto” opened on April the 21st 2009 on the 2762° anniversary of the foundation of Rome.

It is classified as “5 star L” Hotel and has been awarded the “Five star diamond award 2009”; the refurbishment won its nomination among the first three hotels plans in the world during the “Mipim Award 2009” of Cannes .

The building, resulting from an elaborate and complex union of two 19th century adjoining buildings, has a classic façade, in shades of grey and ochre, remarkable for its elegance, bound for its value by the Superintendency for the Architectural heritage: therefore unalterable.

Providing a vast terrace, with solarium, hydromassage and large suites: the “Royal suite”, with its terrace overlooking via Veneto, has a surface of 400 msq.; the roof garden, with its charming and picturesque view over Porta Pinciana Roman wall ruins, Gardens of Villa Borghese, and Roman landscape, makes it an ideal setting for parties.

Painstakingly refurbished to recreate a sober and coherent atmosphere, the “Grand hotel via Veneto” presents, inside, rigorous lines, with furniture inspired to the early 20th century years, revised in a modern and functional way, by furniture craftsmen from Cantù; unique crystal chandeliers, made by  glass-masters from Murano; high quality Carrara marble; special fabrics on bedrooms walls; in the large bathrooms a selection of “Bvlgari” green tea products, for the utmost comfort.

In each of the 122 bedrooms the Guest can dwell upon decorative panels reproducing foreshortened views of ancient Roman past or its monuments and churches: “Rome’s fragments”.

The Hall is covered by a ceiling realized with translucent crystal laying on crystal beams: natural light on the heart of the Hotel;

In the gallery, at the entrance, the original “Rome Planimetry” of 1748 realized by Giovanni Battista Nolli for Pope Benedict XIV; via Veneto did not exist yet!

A “30ies style” bust of young lady, work of art by a great sculptor of the time “welcomes” the Guest to this exclusive and unmissable scenery.

Along the central stairway many watercolors, representing Roman squares and monuments, reveal to the Guest the magnificence of the eternal City.

The Hotel boasts: a gorgeous restaurant, the “Magnolia”, with an entrance marked by water running down on black grooved marble, a Sea-food Café - Wine bar, the “Time” and then, on the Roof garden, the “Sky bar & grill”: great Chefs and Barmen propose selected menus including both typical Roman cuisine and international gastronomy specialties.

An admirable and unique art collection of themed oils on canvas: “flowers and fruits at the Magnolia”; on the walls of the Hall, original paintings by famous painters (Baj, Burri, Carrà, Dalì, de Chirico, Guttuso, Mirò, Rotella e Picasso).

Meeting rooms, spa, fitness and wellness centre, complete the service that the “Grand hotel via Veneto” offers, with the support of all the most up-to date technologies and equipments.
